A community initiative rooted in the community itself
Numoo Organization for Peace and Development is a youth-led civil society organization of young women and men. Founded in 2023 and registered as a non-profit in 2026, it works to advance peace and development, build capacity, and strengthen community participation.
Its participatory and flexible management structure gives young people and women broader representation in decision-making, reinforcing transparency, accountability, and collective leadership across every programme and initiative.
Our programmes and areas of work
We concentrate our efforts on integrated strategic areas that build stable communities, strengthen economic resilience, and invest in people as the foundation of development.
We widen access to quality education, reintegrate out-of-school children, connect curricula to modern skills, and strengthen teacher capacity in remote and conflict-affected areas.
Inclusive educationWe advance women's participation in public life, develop their economic and leadership skills, and support them to meet social challenges with confidence and knowledge.
Economic empowermentWe design programmes for conflict resolution, peaceful coexistence, and reconciliation, while embedding transparency, accountability, the rule of law, and active civic participation.
Community dialogueWe deliver solar-powered clean water sources for drinking and agriculture, and run health awareness campaigns to reduce water- and environment-related disease.
Public healthWe support sustainable agricultural production and value chain development, enabling households to achieve financial independence and reduce food insecurity.
Rural developmentWe respond to emergencies with urgent relief for those affected by disaster and conflict — including food, shelter, essential supplies, and psychosocial support.
